One part of my action research was to survey parents about what activities they would like to see on our campus. I am excited to report that there was great response from parents. A lot of surveys were returned! Also, we learned some important things. For example, only a small percent of parents (less than 15%) use the online system to check grades. In fact, many comments were made that they did not even know what Skyward is. Parents were most interested in attending sessions on reading, math, homework, and technology. Over 60% of the parents said they would come to workshops even if their children could not attend. That was super exciting to me! Therefore, we are going to have a parent night in the three computer labs before the year is over. One of the first things we'll do that night is introduce them to Skyward. I am looking forward to updating my blog after this event!
