from Examining What We Do to Improve Our
Schools
(Harris, Edmonson, and
Combs, 2010)
Wow! This looks really great. We had a Faculty meeting this week where we had a parent who came and spoke to us. She said one of the things she missed and she didn't see on our campus (middle school) were the activities that they did at the neighboring elementary school. She thought it would be a great idea to give out food to get parents involved. The elementary school does some programs such as "Donuts with Dad" and "Muffins with Mom" in order to get the parents there. This sounds like a great idea.
ReplyDeleteI know we also send mailers home at the beginning of the school year to see what the parents think about our administrators, our teachers, and how we're doing with their students.
Thank you so much! Yes, I want to do snacks at some of our functions! I didn't put it in the plan because I wasn't 100% sure about paying for it, etc. I can always do it if I find out that it's not a problem to fund it. Another thought I had was getting PTO to help pay for snacks. Anyway, I appreciate the feedback!
